What The Slate for product commercials includes. How cycles, terms, payment, approvals and guarantees work.
The Slate
The Slate is a retainer for product commercials, priced per 4-week cycle.
Each cycle has 6 original ads, 15-45 seconds each. Every ad has 3 hooks, and every hook comes in 1:1, 9:16 and 4:5. That is 54 exports per cycle.
$5,000 per cycle for agreements signed before Jan 1, 2027. From Jan 1, 2027, $6,500 per cycle for every new agreement and every re-sign. A client who pays 12 cycles upfront at $5,000 can re-sign at $5,000.
One brand per product category at a time while your agreement is active.
This page summarizes the offer. Your signed agreement sets the final terms.
Cycles and terms
A term is 3, 6 or 12 cycles. The price and the six ads per cycle are the same on every term.
The minimum term is 3 cycles. There are no one-cycle deals.
A cycle is 4 weeks. 3 cycles are 12 weeks, 6 cycles are 24 weeks and 12 cycles are 48 weeks.
The price is set per cycle, and you commit to the full term. How you pay depends on the term (see Payment). A term cannot be cancelled mid-term.
Terms do not renew automatically. At the end of a term, you re-sign or the agreement ends.
The cycle
We start on a Monday. That is day 0. Every drop lands on its scheduled Monday.
- Day 7: research and 6 concepts. Each has a script, storyboard and visual direction. You approve before production.
- Days 14, 21 and 28: 2 ads each.
What’s included
- Audience, offer and competitor research
- Review of your current ads
- 6 original concepts, scripts and storyboards per cycle
- Visual direction
- Custom product and lifestyle scenes
- Editing, captions and voiceover
- Licensed music and sound design
- 6 ads per cycle, 3 hooks each, in 1:1, 9:16 and 4:5: 54 exports
- Organized delivery files
- 1 consolidated revision round per drop
Payment
Each payment is invoiced with a payment link and is due before the work it covers starts.
- 3 cycles: pay each cycle in two halves, half at the start and half after that cycle’s concepts are approved, or pay the full term upfront
- 6 and 12 cycles: paid upfront, in full
No payment, no work. Work and the schedule pause until payment is received.
Terms paid upfront include the bonuses listed on the pricing page. Their details are in your agreement.
Approvals and revisions
You review all six concepts before production begins. Send your approval or consolidated feedback within 24 hours.
If the concepts miss the written brief, we’ll replace up to 2 concepts once before production begins. This is separate from the included revision round.
One consolidated revision round is included with every drop. Send all feedback for that drop together, within 24 hours of the drop. We deliver revisions within 48 hours of your feedback.
Guarantees
Every product detail right, or we fix it free. Accuracy fixes do not use your revision round.
Every drop lands on its scheduled Monday, or you receive $200 off per business day late, up to $1,000 per cycle. The work continues.
Client delays, requested scope changes and events outside our control pause the schedule and void the late credit. Your agreement sets the exact delivery time.
We do not guarantee ad performance, revenue, ROAS or conversions.
When we start
A cycle starts once we have:
- The signed agreement and the first payment
- Product references that show it accurately: images, specs, recordings or a physical sample, as your product requires
- Logo, packaging artwork (if any) and brand guidance
- Approved claims, offers and product details
- Confirmation that you hold the rights to everything you supply
- One point of contact who sends consolidated feedback
If your product needs extra references, such as video, 360° views, interface recordings or 3D files, we confirm them before production.
If feedback, approvals or required assets arrive late, the schedule pauses until we have them.
Ownership
Use your ads wherever and whenever you want. Forever.
